NŌK CHOC is a cocoa society with a philanthropic heart. We're building a primary school for girls in Nigeria and launched NŌK CHOC Fundraising to support your causes. $10 from every bag purchased on our site supports a variety of organizations nationwide.
NŌK CHOC had a humble beginning in 2020 when Idara Otu started the vegan cocoa business during the pandemic as a practical solution to fund an all-girls primary school being built through her charity in Nigeria. Akwa Ibom State, where Idara’s family hails from, has one of the highest concentrations of primary-aged girls out of school in Nigeria. Why not use a delicious treat to help get these girls back into the classroom? With that, NŌK CHOC was born.
NŌK CHOC’s premium cocoa was a constant source of joy and celebration as many gifted loved ones with their favorite bags for the holidays and major celebrations. Several customers excited by NŌK CHOC’s underlying mission and delighted by its taste asked if they could use the cocoa to fundraise, thus giving life to NŌK CHOC Fundraising.
Given NŌK CHOC’s innate commitment to support girls’ education in Africa, each supporter of a Fundraising Campaign through the NŌK CHOC Fundraising platform is doing double duty on their impact! First, supporting the fundraiser that brought them to the platform, and supporting LGRRG Academy, the all-girls primary school in Nigeria.
